The Consortium of Institutes of Higher Education in Health and Rehabilitation in Europe (COHEHRE) is a dynamic and exceptionally active non-profit network, established in 1990. It brings together students and academic staff from member Higher Education Institutions across Europe. COHEHRE is devoted to the promotion, development, and support of interprofessional learning, teaching, and research. It also works to strengthen collaborative practice and enhance strategic management in the fields of health, social care, and rehabilitation.

COHEHRE enables an energetic platform for networking, sharing of information, dissemination of best practices, and exchange of experiences in interprofessional education. Its membership consists exclusively of Higher Education Institutions from all over Europe, united by a common vision of excellence in healthcare education.

As a learning organization, COHEHRE is deeply engaged with the educational and training needs of health and social care professionals throughout the European Union. Its key objectives are to:

  • Provide a forum for exchanging insights;

  • Engage practitioners and educators at all levels;

  • Foster collaboration in every context across Europe.
