The 7 Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement include volunteering and volunteers are the heart of the Portuguese Red Cross .

ESSNorteCVP Volunteering is carried out by current and former students, employees and other elements of the ESSNorteCVP academic community and consists of the development of a set of activities of educational, social or community interest, framed by projects, programs or other forms of intervention that aim to respond to individual, group or community needs in general, developed on a non-profit basis.
Volunteering is an activity in which people dedicate their time, skills and efforts to help others, without receiving financial remuneration in return. Volunteering is a powerful way to positively impact society and make a difference in people's lives. It's a way to contribute to a better and more supportive world.
The main objectives of Volunteering are to contribute to the fulfillment of the Red Cross mission and promote the values that guide the action of the International Red Cross, through the involvement of the academic community in dynamics of community cooperation and development.
In this way, Volunteering also aims to promote the training and personal development of volunteers, and allow the development of projects and direct collaboration with entities in the external community, potentially employers of student volunteers.
ESSNorteCVP Volunteering is governed by its own regulations, contained in the Internal Regulations .
It has a volunteer pool, made up of all interested parties from the academic community who register via the Registration Form , or via the link: https://forms.office.com/e/WXUrNUUQUY , which is represented by the Volunteer Group.
The management of the Volunteer Scholarship is the responsibility of the Volunteer Support Office (GAV), in partnership with the Community Services Unit (UPSC) and the Volunteer Group.
