Nursing intervention with the injured person is a complex process with several determinants to consider. These are situations that, on numerous occasions, require prolonged, complex and expensive care, which can result in multiple disabilities. Simultaneously, the diversity of possible approaches implies the need for constant updating of knowledge and skills, based on the best scientific evidence, in order to promote the person's participation in their therapeutic process.
It recognizes the importance of health gains that Nursing care has for the person with a complex wound and for their family members, who are the most
endowed with skills for the management and intervention of the injured person.
The syllabus was developed according to the guidelines of the European Wound Management Association, with the intention that this course is a contribution to the
development of skills and professional enhancement of Nurses.
