As a result of technological development, health professionals and decision-makers in health organizations manage a high volume of data that is fundamental to their decision-making process. It is essential to use resources, tools and strategies that enable data to be transformed into information and knowledge that is useful and essential to the different roles of healthcare professionals and the various decision-making levels in the organization, so that new, complex and challenging problems can be solved strategically.
