The Regulation for the Professional Practice of Nurses determines, in paragraph 6 of article 9 that “nurses contribute in the exercise of their activity in the area of management, research, teaching, training and advice, for the improvement and evolution of the provision of health care nursing".
In this path, the exercise of management functions by nurses is central to guaranteeing the quality and safety of professional practice, in the context of health organizations. The complexity of health organizations demands that the nurse manager has a body of knowledge, attitudes and behaviors that enable him to overcome the challenges that the management of health institutions represents today, with a view to obtaining
health gains.
Competence certification is based on the assumption of valuing the professional career of nurses, both in terms of professional experience and training processes. In this context, this course aims to respond to one of the requirements

The health professional with the Postgraduated Course in Health Services Management must ensure the necessary skills to understand the problems with which managers deal in the context of professional practice through critical analysis focused on health policy.
