The practice of sports is covered with particularities that translate into pathologies specific to sports practice, which require a multidisciplinary approach for the correct treatment in the shortest amount of time and opens the doors to the fields of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention, through intervention together
athletes, family and community. Since sports practice is recognized and recommended for everyone, from the recreational component to the highest level, nurses are naturally an integral part of it, as facilitators in improving the health of the person and the community. The sports area has been the target of
growing interest and attention on the part of health professionals and the nurse has come to occupy an increasingly important place, especially in the high national and international competition, given the recognition of their contribution, on and off the field, in the preparation and recovery of athletes.
