Professional Internship with Final Report

The professional report internship will be developed which will enable the student to develop decision-making skills in one of optional units.

The guidance, supervision and evaluation of students will be the responsibility of teachers with the collaboration of nurse tutors, specialists in medical-surgical nursing, to perform functions in various clinical contexts and with recognized development in the area of specialty.At this stage the student should conduct an investigation according to the rules to be defined in a proper document with a view to their public discussion. According to the Regulation of the 2nd cycle of studies.

Objetivos de Unidade Curricular

Apply knowledge in the decision making process in solving complex situations, in broad and multidisciplinary contexts, in the scientific area of nursing

Reflect on the ethical and social implications and responsibilities that result from the decision-making process in the specialized nursing area

Design, formulate and develop an internship report that includes the scientific research component in the area of nursing specialization for the person in palliative situation

Critically analyze, argue and systematize complex and innovative ideas in the scientific area

Disseminate emerging knowledge of nursing research findings

Develop skills that enable self-directed or autonomous lifelong learning

Application of the acquired knowledge and syllabus previously taught in the curricular units, as well as others addressed in tutorial orientation classes, in the area of nursing specialization to the person in palliative situation, for the development and preparation of the internship report and its public discussion
