The expository methodology will be used and students will be encouraged to participate. The oral expositor method is used and with support of audiovisual projection and textbooks with the teacher´s notes. Research is incentivated, with eventual preparation, presentation and discussion of group and/or individual works.
The final evaluation will be obtained by two written tests (50% + 50%).
- Recognize the importance of nurses in the effective management of the drug regimen, especially in the preparation, administration and monitoring phases;
- Understand of the basic principles of pharmacology;
- Identify pharmaceutical forms available and how different administration routes;
- Describe the general cycle of drugs not body;
- Understand concepts of pharmacodynamic processes that are associated with drug action on various body systems;
- Recognize Adverse Effects and Possible Interactions;
- Identify on a clinic situation, with bases and knowledge acquired, the problem and potential forms of resolution;
- Understand and recognize the major drug classes, its mechanisms of action and its applications and relevant aspects to clinical practice.
