In lectures with a theoretical and practical theoretical component (Teams), the expository and demonstrative methods will be used, as well discussion about the procedures performed in the context of the person in critical situation. In these classes will be deepened the knowledge previously acquired. The PL classes will aim to mobilize the knowledge acquired for the decision making in clinical cases, participation in solving problems in a simulation environment, and a study visit aimed at observing the functioning of an ICU and urgency service.
After negotiating the strategies with the students, it was decided that this unit will be evaluated, continuously, for a frequency a (75%) and laboratory practices (25%). The assessment by exam includes theoretical test (100%).
- Understand the concepts of person in critical situation, urgency, emergency and critical care;
- Distinguish the way emergency and intensive care services are organized;
- To base the nursing care to the person in critical situation in emergency and intensive care services;
- Identify the specificities of the therapeutic options available in the field of health promotion and prevention of complications of the critically ill person, including IACS prevention, pharmacological management and nutritional management;
- To valorize the use of instruments of evaluation of the person in critical situation;
- Recognize the importance of the family involvement to the person in critical situation;
To argue about the role of the nurse in the care of the critically ill person and its impact on the person's quality of life after intensive care.
