Métodos de ensino

The methodologies are aligned with the types of classes planned, promoting student participation individually and in groups, through critical analysis of references, cases, technical guidelines, thematic presentation / discussion, thematic exhibitions (photovoice) and / or critical movies, in a process of building their learning.

In the OT component, the student must be able to apply the methodology of the nursing process to the person with mental health changes or risk, based on clinical cases. The development of the TOs follows the description in the “Planning of Tutorial Guidelines”, with the application of peer feedback, with the aim of identifying the contributions of each element and developing skills.

The LP component focuses on the demonstration and training of mental health interviews and the operationalization of the Nursing Process in a simulation context. The use of simulated practice will be based on the guidelines and best practices adopted in the area of ​​clinical simulation.

The assessment will include a frequency (80%), which includes the assessment of the nursing process developed in the OT; and the performance of students in the context of clinical simulation (Practical Test – 20%), in PL.

In each of the components (Attendance and Practical Test) the student must obtain a grade greater than 9.5 values. The evaluation will make it possible to highlight the learning results according to the objectives set, and for the student to receive feedback on their performance, associated with advice on their learning process.

- Analyse, interpret and synthesize texts and documents relating to the National Mental Health Program and from different sources;

- Know the guidelines for mental health policy at national and European level;

- Explain the clients' rights and duties in mental health;

- Identify the role of nurses in the various therapeutic options;

- Recognize the importance of safe administration of psychotropic drugs and psychotherapies in the treatment of people with mental health disorders;

- Demonstrate knowledge that will support your action before the individual at risk of alteration or alteration of mental health, family and community;

- Apply the methodology of the nursing process to the person with altered mental health or risk, based on clinical scenarios;

- Plans activities to promote mental health, prevent mental illness and recovery with quality criteria.

- Analyze mental health indicators in a local level, with needs for intervention;
- Therapeutic relationship nurse/client;
- Clinical Mental Health evaluation: Psychiatric interview. biopsychosocial history. Evaluation of mental state. Nursing diagnoses;
- The nurse's role in therapeutic options in mental health and psychiatry: Psychotherapy. Psychopharmacology. Electroconvulsive;
- Application of the nursing process to the person with: anxiety disorders, affective disorder, psychotic disorders, behavioral disorders, personality disorders, eating behavior disorders, behavioral use of psychoactive substances, learning disorder.
