Métodos de ensino

The teaching methodology will be essentially theoretical-practical using laboratory practices and tutorial guidance. The teacher exposes the theoretical contents – class T, demonstrates the execution of the technique – class TP – and then supervises and assists students in the application of knowledge – class PL. The assessment will be made using 2 frequencies (25% each respectively), 1 written work (25%) and 1 practical frequency (25%) with a weighting of 25% / The assessment will be made using 2 theoretical frequencies (25 % each respectively), 1 written assignment (25%) and 1 practical frequency (25%).


Objetivos de Unidade Curricular

To prescreve herbal componentes according to the chinese diagnosis;
To recognize the central methodologies of Chinese diatetics and the characterization of their interventions;
To know advantages and limitations of foot reflexology and cranial acupunture;
Locate the reflex zones and the cranial and podal points knowing the principles of the treatment;
Elaborate treatment plans of musculoskeletal and internal disorders using the tuina;
Perform in the diferente corporal areas of the children the tui-na massage;
To solve case studies according to all the acupunture specialities taught until now with acupunture and auxiliary techeniques.

Programa

Phytotherapeutic prescripton according to the six energy levels;
Preparation and prescribing of chinese componentes and formulas- means of administration, performance of decoctions, dosages, toxicity, side effets, interactions between componentes and with western drugs;
Recognize the Methodology of Chinese Dietetics;
Application of Chinese Dietetics in pathological conditions;
Scalp acupunture-
Foot Reflexology: indications, contraindications and effects; location os points and áreas; types of manipulation;
Treatment of musculoskeletical disorders of the face and head, spine, upper and lower limbs;
Treatment of internal conditions;
Child’s body áreas and Tuina massage on the hand, head, dorsal and abdominal region;
Indications and contraindications of Tuina massage in children;
Effets of massage in Childrens;
Case study resolution.
