This curricular unit intends to provide students with theoretical knowledge regarding the formulation of questions and interpretation of patients' answers in the light of traditional Chinese medicine. In this way the concepts will be exposed to students in theoretical classes. However, the practice of classroom interviewing is fundamental, simulating the stage context and the actual work context (Role Play and Role Reversal). In this way the theoretical-practical classes will be fundamental. The evaluation will be made using a frequency and a practical evaluation consisting of the presentation of a video with a maximum duration of 5 minutes depicting a hypothetical interview, together with a critical self-reflection observation grid, which includes the identification of the strengths of performance, the skills to be improved and the strategies planned to develop them.
- Understand the importance of proper registration in daily clinical practice;
- Identify the essential parameters for performing the clinical interview in the practice of acupuncture;
- To know the importance of clinical history and personal history for diagnosis according to traditional Chinese medicine;
- To know the main key issues during the first consultation and successive consultations, and know their meaning according to traditional Chinese medicine;
- Conduct the interview according to the signs referred by the patients;
- Understand the importance of inspection, auscultation, olfaction, palpation, diagnosis of the tongue and the pulse as complements of the interview;
- To understand the importance of diagnostic exams and clinical analyzes for the diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine;
- Simulate the interview in context with hypothetical clinical cases.
