The teaching methodology is practical in a real work environment, with supervision of mentor. The evaluation will be performed by the Supervisor, in accordance with constant evaluation grid of a learning agreement made at the beginning of the course, which will be expressed training needs in the area where the team learning and proposed processes to obtain them. This acquisition is supervised by school teachers, which ensures the proper functioning of this process, contributing to a good relationship advisor-student. The student must perform a final report of reflective character stage and a case study, assessed by the teacher responsible for the course. The final score results from the following weighted arithmetic mean: Stage note 70% and 30% internship report.

Objetivos de Unidade Curricular

Locate the major and extraordinary points and meridians of acupuncture;
Apply Chinese diagnostic methods including interview, observation, auscultation, tongue and pulse diagnosis; Record in an appropriate form and in an appropriate document the interview and initial clinical history, as well as the evolution of their clinical status;
Apply acupuncture, suction cupping, moxibustion and electroacupuncture techniques;
Develop clinical reasoning by discussing, cases and designing appropriate treatment plans, discussing them with the supervisor;
To relate knowledge of pathology, anatomy, nutrition, imaging and clinical analysis to clinical practice;
Develop behavior based on practice standards and ethical and deontological principles of the profession, respecting the rules of hygiene and safety in clinical practice;
Develop skills related to the user, family and other professionals.

Programa

Stage II aims at the development of clinical reasoning through the practice of Chinese diagnosis and the design of an appropriate treatment plan. The treatment should be performed using only acupuncture techniques, suction cups, moxibustion and electrotherapy. In this way, this curricular unit should cover most of the contents taught in previous curricular units, especially in fundamental theories in acupuncture I and II, topography of meridians and acupuncture points I and II, diagnostic methods in acupuncture I and II and acupuncture techniques.
