The teaching methodology will follow an expository and participatory method, with application and resolution of
problems and/or clinical cases related to the topic of pharmacology. It will also include the preparation of specific
themes of the curricular unit, in an adaptation of the “task-based learning” methodology. Continuous assessment will
consist of two frequencies (50% + 50%). The student can opt for the final exam.
Understand of the basic principles of pharmacology;
Identify pharmaceutical forms available and how different administration routes;
Describe the general cycle of drugs not body;
Understand concepts of pharmacodynamic processes that are associated with most common drugs used in
physiotherapy;
Recognize Adverse Effects and Possible Interactions;
Identify on a clinic situation, with bases and knowledge acquired, the problem and potential forms of resolution;
Understand and recognize the major drug classes used in physiotherapy, its mechanisms of action and its applications
