Métodos de ensino

Expository and interactive methodology in the development of theoretical classes. Demonstrative and interactive methodology in theoretical-practical typology classes. And finally, more active methodologies in the Practical and Laboratories classes for the development of experimental skills. Problem-based learning methodology and education for understanding will be applied through educational planning based on meaningful learning scenarios (simulation) in laboratory practice classes.


Objetivos de Unidade Curricular

  • Acquire knowledge within the scope of the intervention principles of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and respective levels of evidence associated with the practice;
  • Acquire knowledge in setting short and long-term goals;
  • Plan physiotherapy interventions in the cardio-respiratory area;
  • Apply cardiovascular and respiratory physiotherapy intervention techniques; 
  • Mobilize scientific and technical knowledge to solve problems in order to make decisions and substantiate them, given situations of physiotherapy intervention in users with cardiovascular and/or respiratory dysfunction or at risk of developing them.

Programa

  • Different techniques of cardiovascular and respiratory physiotherapy: and respiratory techniques (ACBT), autogenic drainage (AD), forced expiration techniques, assisted cough/huffing, controlled diaphragmatic breathing, breathing lips semi closed, autonomous or assisted air stacking - breath and stacking, maximum and slow inspiration, with tele-inspiratory apnea and slow expiratory techniques (ELTGL and ELPr);
  • Definition of short- and long-term objectives in the intervention to be achieved with the patient with cardiorespiratory condition;
  • Understanding the effects of body positioning;
  • Different techniques of bronchial hygiene, dyspnea relief, energy conservation and respiratory training; Strategies for adapting the cardiovascular and respiratory systems to exertion
