Métodos de ensino

Expository and problem-based learning methodologies will be used, with a focus on learning outcomes. Group and individual dynamics for the development of ethical and bioethical sensitivity skills. Group work favoring discussion and ethical dialogue. Continuous assessment = 100% Group Work. The student can opt for the final exam.


Objetivos de Unidade Curricular

To analyse the ethical theories, the ethical principles, and the axiological values of Nursing;

Identify the essential concepts inherent in the ethical, moral, and deontological behaviour;

Identify ethical issues related to the provision of nursing and health care;

Demonstrate informed ethical decision-making;

Justify the importance of ethical decisions in specific situations in different health care contexts;

Reflect on the main ethical conflicts / ethical dilemmas inherent in health;

Appropriately addresses ethical questions that may compromise the client's safety, privacy or dignity;

Recognizes the rights and duties of the patient;

Demonstrates ethical decision-making capacity.
