The course is semi-annual and consists of practical lessons and laboratory practices. The teaching methodologies advocate demonstrative method, in which the faculty performs the technical and trains every student in the correct application and proper interpretation of them, emphasizing the implementation of assessment and osteopathic intervention by the students tasks. The assessment will be final and will result from the completion of a written test about the theoretical concepts and the fundamentals of the practical component and a practical assessment covering the implementation of diagnostic techniques and Osteopathy studied.
- Know and name the osteopathic dysfunctions of the visceral system, autonomic nervous system and covered structures cranial osteopathy;
- Properly use and apply evaluation tests used in the diagnosis of osteopathic addressed system;
- Run correctly in the context of laboratory practice accompanied the techniques used in osteopathic intervention of visceral systems studied, autonomic nervous system and covered structures cranial osteopathy;
- Explain coherently the underlying clinical reasoning to the mechanism of action and physiological effects of executed osteopathic techniques.
This CU contributes with 9 ECTS to the component Princípios da osteopatia, point c) article 12 of Decree 172-E / 2015 5 June.
