The curricular unit consists exclusively of laboratory practices.
Teaching methodologies advocate the demonstrative method. The teachers perform the techniques and train each student in the correct application and interpretation, emphasizing the achievement of assessment and osteopathic intervention by the students. Clinical reasoning and association with clinical cases are encouraged and the importance of integrating the diagnostic and treatment techniques studied in this and previous curricular units is emphasized.
Continuous assessment will be used for the assessment of the curricular unit, according to the continuous assessment tool for laboratory practices (Q210). This instrument ensures the assessment throughout the course of the acquired knowledge, the ability to perform assessment and treatment techniques and the demonstrated attitude, including aspects such as attendance,
punctuality, perseverance, interest in learning, reaction to criticism and the ability to work in a team.
The final assessment will result from the overall classification obtained throughout the course in accordance with the Q210 instrument.
