Métodos de ensino

The course is semi-annual and consists of theoretical and practical lessons, laboratory practices. The teaching methodologies advocate demonstrative method, in which the faculty performs the technical and trains every student in the correct application and proper interpretation of them, emphasizing the implementation of assessment and osteopathic intervention by the students tasks. Continuous assessment strategies and the final evaluation will be used. The final assessment will result from the completion of a practical test about concepts and the fundamentals of the practical componente, that is, a practical assessment covering the implementation of diagnostic techniques and Osteopathy studied. The final score results from the practical test 100%.


Objetivos de Unidade Curricular

Know and name the osteopathic dysfunctions of the pelvic girdle and lower limb; Properly use and apply evaluation tests used in osteopathic diagnosis of pelvic girdle and lower limb; Run correctly in context accompanied laboratory practice the techniques used in the osteopathic approach to pelvic girdle and lower limb; Explain coherently the underlying clinical reasoning to the mechanism of action and physiological effects of executed osteopathic techniques.

Pathology osteopathy - somatic dysfunction of the pelvic girdle;
Diagnosis osteopathic, including palpation, osteopathic tests and special tests;
Osteopathic treatment of the pelvis - osteopathic techniques
Structural osteopathy - lower limb: hip, knee, ankle and foot;
Osteopathic pathology / somatic disorders; Osteopathic diagnosis;
Osteopathic treatment - osteopathic techniques for hip, knee, ankle and foot.
