The teaching methodology will follow an expository and participatory method, focused on the student, integrating the future need of the described contents, allowing a better understanding of them. Case study will be used to allow an active participation of the students in the class, facilitating the comprehension and the importance of this unit into the global aspects of the profession, which will put the goal of learning on needs. The continuous evaluation will comprise two midterm exams with a total value of 80% (40%+40%) and a group work with presentation accounting for 20%.
- Know the levels of organization of living systems and understand the molecular and chemical basis of life;
- Recognize the cell as the basic unit of life and explain the relationship between cellular structures and their functioning;
- Understand how cells communicate and organize in different types of tissue;
- Understand how cells produce energy, how they divide, and how they die.
