Healthcare administrative professionals play a key role in healthcare institutions, as they are usually the first point of contact with clients. In addition to administrative skills, they are required to have a skills profile that goes beyond these, for example in the areas of communication, management, IT and health legislation, supported by ethical conduct and data protection. In this sense, this course aims to train professionals capable of planning, managing and carrying out clinical secretarial activities in healthcare institutions.
Admission to the Higher Professional Technical Course can be made through the General Access Regime, Special Access Regimes and Special Competitions.
At the end of the course, the student can work in health institutions, whether in the context of primary or differentiated health care, public or private, namely health centers/family health units/community care units, hospitals, palliative care units, long-term care units, health clinics, nursing homes, social centers, among others.
