Oliveira de Azeméis is a Portuguese city belonging to the District of Aveiro, located in the Greater Metropolitan Area of Porto, North region and NUT III of Entre Douro e Vouga. It is the seat of a municipality that has 19 parishes, spread across 12 territorial units.
With an area of 163.41 km², the municipality is occupied by around 69,000 inhabitants.
Oliveira de Azeméis has been an important location since time immemorial, being a place with proven human presence, since at least 2000 BC, in the hillforts of Ul and Ossela. Later, it became a stopping point on the Roman routes of Conímbriga-Porto and Lisbon-Braga, from which the mile marker XII still remains.
City located between two district capitals: Porto (to the North) and Aveiro (to the South).
Close to the Sea (Furadouro, 23Km /Torreira, 32Km) and the Mountains (Arouca, 29Km, Serra da Freita).
Municipality with strong business involvement of national and international standing.

How to get?
You can reach the city of Oliveira de Azeméis via the A1 (Northern Motorway), Estarreja and Feira interchange, depending on whether you are coming from the South or North respectively.
In addition to the A1, which crosses the municipality's territory, other roads allow easy access to the municipality, such as Complementary route no. 2 (IC2) and the EN224. Oliveira de Azeméis is already directly connected to the city of Porto via the A32 (Douro Litoral Motorway).
At railway level, the Vale do Vouga line is in operation, connecting with the Northern line in Espinho, and from there you can continue to Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Lisbon, etc. There are regular bus connections to Porto, Aveiro and Coimbra, as well as others of a more restricted scope, at local and regional level.
